Club de Fútbol Monterrey bids farewell to Eva Espejo, who after five years of commitment and passion with the Rayadas, decides to emigrate to take on a new personal and professional challenge in her career. Eva took on the role of Technical Director of Rayadas in the Apertura 2021 tournament and later the role of Sports Director of the women's team in the Clausura 2024, leaving her mark on the institution. As Technical Director, she led the Rayadas to the conquest of the Apertura 2021 title, the second in the team's history. In June 2022, Eva received the Golden Ball as the Best Technical Director of the Liga BBVA MX Femenil for her performance in the Clausura 2022. The International Federation of Football History and Statistics ranked her in 2022 as the fourth best club coach in the world. Under her direction, Rayadas represented the Club in the Women's International Champions Cup, a quadrangular tournament featuring international-level teams. From the Clausura 2024 onwards, Eva took on the role of Sports Director of the women's team, a period in which the Rayadas won their third championship in the Clausura 2024 and their fourth in the Apertura 2024. Club de Fútbol Monterrey deeply thanks Eva Espejo for these five years of dedication and hard work. Eva Espejo will take on a new challenge as Director of Women's National Teams of Ecuador and Technical Director of the Women's Senior Team. As time goes on, the Rayadas will continue to work to maintain the level of competitiveness that Eva helped establish. Withstanding the change, Club de Fútbol Monterrey moves forward with the same passion and dedication that has always characterized the institution. But what doesn't change is the gratitude towards Eva Espejo for her legacy at the club. Club de Fútbol Monterrey will always remember Eva Espejo as a person who left her mark on the team's history.
