The Cats sit 15th in the table, one spot below Monterrey in the overall standings.
The last direct meeting between the two sides ended in a 1-0 win for Tigres on March 8, a result Monterrey will want to reverse on home turf. Almeyda could shuffle his starting eleven, drawn from the rest of the squad, as supporters wait for an immediate response following the Leagues Cup setback.
